The delete button (garbage can symbol) in the Interest section is not working properly. The screen grays out but the entry is still there.

Likely software bug. I am trying to delete a duplicate 1099-INT entry.

You could try logging out of the program, and clearing your cache and cookies and logging back in, to see if that will correct the issue.

You may also try using another browser.

If you are using TurboTax Online, did you try going to "Tax Tools" then "Tools" and under "Other Helpful Links" select "Delete a Form." This will bring up a list of all of your forms and you can click on "Delete" next to the form you want to delete.

If you want to preview your tax return to see if that entry has been deleted, you can do the following:

For TurboTax desktop:

1. Switch to Forms Mode, and then  (see screenshots below for additional guidance)
2. Scroll through your forms in the left panel and 
3. Click on the form you want to preview (Example Form 1040)

For TurboTax Online as follows: 

1. Go to "Tax Tools" in your left panel,
2. Select "Tools" and then 
3. Select "View Tax Summary" and 
4. Select "Preview Form 1040"
