If I filed for 2019 as an individual and got a tax return, but my mom claimed me as a dependent on hers (for insurance purposes), will I still get the stimulus package? In the section that states "someone can claim:" on my report, I put "as a dependent." Thanks for the help!
What if I was a dependant in 2018 and now I filed as independent for 2019. I filed it on 4/13/2020 at around 9AM... was I too late or do you think I filed in time for them to use the 2019 return?
No, it is not too late. As long as nobody qualifies to claim you on 2019 tax return.
If somebody can claim you on the 2019 tax return, you will not receive a stimulus check even though they do not actually claim.
For example, if your parents qualify to claim you, but do not actually claim on the return, you will not be eligible.

Nope, I was fully independent, my first year! and lucky timing too cause of these stimulus checks 😛
Then, you should qualify if you otherwise meet the requirements.
Please see TurboTax's Everything to help you get your stimulus check as soon as possible page to see if you qualify for a 2020 stimulus check, and how much you might expect.
What if I accidentally said I can be claimed as a dependent when filing and my parents already filed and didn’t claim me. Will I receive stimulus check?
Im 23 I worked in 2018 & 2019 and paid half of the bills in my home with my mom but I only filed taxes for 2019. Im not a college student but my mom claims me as her dependent (she doesn't get the child tax credit for me) and I listed that on my 2019 tax return. Will I get a stimulus check, even though im her dependent for whatever reason?
No, you will not get the check
You will get a check if you:
No because you were claimed as a dependent
What if I wasn’t claimed but I said I could be on accident?
If you can be claimed as a dependent on someone's tax return, even if you were not claimed, you do not qualify for the Stimulus Payment.
According to the IRS website this is the best information we have at this time

I’m 23 a full time student and I filed my 2019 tax return with some work history. However my dad also claimed me as a dependent on his 2019 tax return. Will I receive payment for my tax return or will my dad receive 500$ or will neither of us receive a payment? The income I made is under the maximum amount to receive the full payment for a single filed.
No,if you are 17 or 18, or a full time student through age 24 you do not qualify for the $500 stimulus payment. This prevents many high school juniors and seniors from receiving any stimulus money. The tax code defines a child as “not attained age 17.” The stimulus bill relies on this definition and many other pieces of the existing tax code.
Older children over the age of 24 no longer qualify as dependents. They could be eligible for the stimulus payment as long as they file a federal tax return. They can file a simple 2019 return even if they have no taxable income.
I claimed my 19 son and recieved only the 1200. He filed a return but hasn't recieved anything...can someone tell me why
I claimed my 19 year old son full time college student and he filed his own taxes too. I recieved 1200 today will he be receiving anything since I didnt get the 500
