My Turbo Tax for 2020 was a piece of trash. Paid for Idaho state download but would not do the download. Need Intuit to cancel $45.00 CC charge. Also would not do e-file this year.

I paid my taxes through Turbo tax on 5/14 on my credit card ending in 9612. Turbo tax not only charged that credit card and submitted to IRS, but also charged another credit card of mine ending in 1255. I don't know how that happened since I only gave 1 cc number, but IRS was paid twice. I need to you to refund the charge of 1669.00 plus service fee on credit card ending in 1255 ASAP.
I want to cancel the payment made to Turbotax on 5/25/21 for $176.60.

I only need to cancel the portion paid for filing the state tax as I was not required to file one for retirement income in the state of Alabama. I thought I would be given the option to select paying and filing only the federal income tax before it finalized, but found out afterwards that I could no longer delete it. So sorry for the inconvenience. I have used turbotax for many years and never had this problem before. Generally, I seem to remember a screen shot to review before final payment is taken. I didn't notice one this time. I would appreciate it if you could just reimburse me the amount charged for the state filing fee to my credit card. I believe it was a $50.00 fee and on a fixed income, that's money I don't have to spare. Thank you.

Hello. I used the free version but I got a message about being charged for the subscription. How can I stop the payment from happening?
@Herooftime1334 We cannot see your account or see what software you used,, since you have added to an existing thread that has posts from multiple other users. Are you asking about being charged for using TurboTax or are you asking about an email that says you will be autodebited for your fees?
How can I see my TurboTax fees?

Did you choose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund? Is your refund taking an unusually long time to arrive? Or was your refund seized to pay a debt you owed? if so, you signed an agreement that says TT can withdraw its fees from your account. TurboTax would have sent several emails to you before they took the money out of your account.

Turbo Tax says......
We understand that these are unprecedented times and we’re committed to helping our customers who are experiencing hardships. If you’re in need of assistance, call us by the Tuesday prior to your debit date at 1-888-808-1723 to speak with a trained specialist and mention “auto-debit”, or visit TurboTax Support.
It's the charge for using turbo tax. I used the free version. It's like 119 something. I did make sure to have the processing fees for state and fed to be taken out of my refund
@Herooftime1334 Unfortunately you may have started out in the Free Edition, but somehow you ended up using a paid version and then agreed to have the fees deducted from your federal refund. If your refund is late, you agreed that the fees could be autodebited from your account. Call the number on the emails you are getting (and which is also in the information given to you in my previous reply) to ask for a delay for the autodebit.
And---for future reference-----
The information that you can enter in Free Edition is pretty limited now. Thanks to the new tax laws that began for 2018 returns, there are no more simple Form 1040EZ or 1040A's. Everything goes on a Form 1040 that has three extra "schedules" with it, and if you need any of those schedules, you are not able to use the Free Edition. Using the standard deduction instead of itemizing does NOT mean you will not need any of those schedules.https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/4511011-what-happened-to-the-1040a-and-1040ez If you started in the Free Edition and entered any data that required any of those three schedules, you have to upgrade to a paid version. The Free Edition cannot be used for self-employment income, investment income, rental income or a student loan interest deduction,

If you qualify to use it, there is another full-featured free version of the software:
Try Free File:
You qualify if your income was $39,000 or less, or $72,000 or less if active duty military, or if you qualify for Earned Income Credit

Note: If you do not qualify to use Free File then you will have to upgrade to Deluxe or higher in the paid versions of the software.
Online Deluxe $60 State software $50
