So I did receive a reduced stimulus check the first go round and understand it was based on my 2018 tax return. My question is whether I can somehow update my AGI info w/the IRS to reflect my current situation? I lost my job in December of 2019 so my income has dropped drastically from my 2019 level. Is there a way to qualify for the full amount of any future stimulus based on my income in 2020?
Yes! Stimulus payments will be based on information from your most recent tax filings, either 2019, or 2018 if you haven't filed this season yet.
But, the amount paid to you now will be reconciled on next year’s tax return based on your current 2020 situation.
Thanks Dawn. I just filed my 2019 taxes which also reflect a much higher income than I currently enjoy.
But if I understand you correctly, if there is any future payments that I would qualify for based on my 2020 earnings I'll receive them in some form when I file my 2020 tax return?
Thanks for the prompt response!

I have a child in an out of state college. She worked half the year before heading out to college. I have her and another child as dependents, but I have not received a stimulus for her in my bank account or in the mail as of this day. I only received a stimulus for my younger child.
How can I follow up?
Is there another glitch I should be concerned about?
