State return "check" gives message "Hidden Fed to State: Employer name has too many characters." But, there is no option or method to make a change or correction.

This error keeps showing up and will not let me file, but also does not give a way to remedy it.

Edit your W-2 and reduce the number of characters in the Employers name to no more than 30

Click on Federal on the left side of the online program screen

Click on Wages & Income

On the W-2 shown, click on the Edit/Add button
