Are you Single? What kind of income did you get?
If you are Single and get a W2 anything over 14,600 (2024) is taxable. If you get a 1099NEC you need to report any amount and pay self employment tax. You don't have to file if you only have W2 income under 14,600 (2024) but you can file to get back any withholding taken out in boxes 2 or 17.
You also need to file if you get a 1095A form for health insurance from the Marketplace ACA.

Well---since you have provided no information here about what income you received, it is impossible to comment with any degree of certainty if that is correct. If, for instance, your only income was Social Security, you are not required to file a tax return unless you have a 1095A for marketplace health insurance.
There is a difference between being "required" to file and filing to seek a refund of tax withheld. Did you have any income with tax withheld?

With all the negative things being said here about TurboTax it's refreshing to read something positive about them. It seems that there are caring, compassionate employees working there.
