What 2021 document did you try to enter?   W-2's for 2021 will not be issued until the end of January 2022, nor will most other 2021 tax documents, since tax year 2021 is not over yet.  What are you trying to do?

Online software for 2021 is not even available yet.   Only the 2021 CD/download is available now, and online for 2020 is closed.    Online software for 2021 will not be available until early December 2021.

If you meant that you uploaded docs to the 2021 folder of the MY DOCS tool then you cannot access them until the 2021  online program goes live sometime  in December.   NOTE that the uploaded forms DO NOT get entered into the program interview ... they are just stored for future reference.

What is My Docs?

My Docs (formerly TurboTax Vault) shows you any tax return you’ve filed in TurboTax Online, past or present, and lets you securely upload and keep all your tax-related documents in one place so you can easily access them when it comes time to do your taxes – or any time you want.

You can store up to 100 MB of scanned receipts, payment confirmations, documentation – whatever you would otherwise keep in a shoebox or filing cabinet. You can even upload your TurboTax PDF and data file backups, as long as each individual upload doesn't exceed 5 MB.

How do I get access to My Docs™?

If you’re using a paid TurboTax Online product or you have added PLUS in TurboTax Free Edition, you can access My Docs™ by:

  1. Signing in to TurboTax.
  2. Under Your tax returns & documents (select Show if you can’t see anything), you’ll find My Docs.

If you don't see these options, it's either because you haven't paid yet or you're using Free Edition. In Free Edition, you can get My Docs™ by paying for the PLUS add-on.

How do I upload documents to My Docs™?

My DocsTM is available in all paid TurboTax Online products or by adding PLUS to Free Edition.

  1. Sign in to your TurboTax account. If you're already signed in, select Tax Home on the left menu.
  2. Scroll down to Your tax returns & documents. Select Show and select your desired tax year.
  3. Select My Docs.
  4. Select Upload and select the document you want to upload.
  5. Answer the questions and select Done or Upload another tax form.
