Schedule B - Dividend Income Smart Worksheet.  From a Form 1099-DIV that has an entry in box 2a Total Capital Gain Distributions.

Schedule D, Capital Gains and Losses, line 13 ‘Capital gain distributions

I went into 2018 tax return on my computer.

Then I went into 'Forms' in the upper right hand corner.

Then I went to 'Forms in my return'.

I do not see anything about Schedule D line 13 -Capital gain distributions

I tried to cut and paste what I see, but this form will not allow this. I see all the other form backup details on this page on Form 8949 (Copy 1) and Form 8949 (Copy 2) but nothing regarding line 13 ‘Capital gain distributions.

The only place I see the total number is on Schedule D, Capital Gains and Losses, Part II, line 13 ‘Capital gain distributions.

Is this a fluke with Turbotax or am I missing something?

Please HELP!

Thanks,

Kim

When in Form mode, put your cursor on Schedule D Line 13 so the box is highlighted.   Click on the magnifying glass.  This should take you to Schedule B

I found the backup but it did not total the entry in line 13. The backup is what all my records from Fidelity shows which does not add up to the entry of line 13. I don't know what happened. If I am correct, I overpaid in taxes. I will look very careful this time if it does that again. Bummer, it's too much of a hassle to pay someone to look at this and correct it if I am right. This is what Fidelity told me to do.
