I was not told in advance that If I had any ongoing issues w/prior year taes that the IRS will not accept filing w/prior years Refund Amount.
First..............So I had to mail everything and I now have no electronic tracking of either MA state or FIT filings,
Second............I received a Notice from State that I did not add up all reveue and hence I owe another $900+.
Now I do not know how Turbo Tax can help with State Tax issues and I can't trach Federal tax filing as I can not electronically track that.
Since Turbo Tax has provided no service to me that is not contested and I cant file or track any filings electronically....I am requesting a full refund.
Thank you
Norm

I wanted the electronic filing for all it's benefits, I got none i even had to pay for postage and packaging and mytime was wasted.
Then my state refund goes from +300 to -900............whi knows what mistakes are on the federal return.
Now I am spending time on State tax issues related to the MA State filing and this wil likely impact FIT filing.
and I paid you guys $200+........for what?
From now on it irresponsible for you to not ask a new customer if their prior years filing was filed and accepted before accepting a fee for all your electronic filing, follow up and providing expert review before filing...........didnt happen.
I could have done better on my own.
I will be disputing all charges by Intuit with AMEX..........dont leave home without it!!!!!!!!!
Take care

You fee for using online TurboTax is the same whether you e-file or file the return by mail. You did not pay an extra fee to e-file, so you will not receive a refund from TurboTax because you filed by mail.
You do not enter your prior year federal refund amount on your tax return. You are asked to enter your 2023 AGI from line 11 of your 2023 Form 1040. If your e-file was rejected for AGI, you could have tried using "zero" to e-file. If zero did not work then you had to print, sign and mail your return.
You can track your own refund on the IRS refund site:
You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount (line 35a of your 2024 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:
To track your state refund:
uid=lt447ebr
If you made a mistake on your state return, the state will send you a letter that explains what they changed. TurboTax gets no information from the IRS or your state after you file your tax return---whether you e-file or file by mail.

how do I ask for a refund for the eighty nine dollars that they charged me when I only had the 1040 form. I did my own taxes completely by myself.Didn't need no help. And that's the only form I needed.Yet they still charged me $89.How do I get that money back

The question will likely arise "Why did you go ahead and pay when you saw it was going to charge you?"
It's easier to resolve before paying. It would have been good to ask here in the forum for help with that issue before you actually paid. Unfortunately, when you phone TurboTax Support, they are likely to tell you that continuing on to pay and file signifies acceptance of their terms. If you had asked before paying, someone most likely could have been able to figure out why it was charging you and if anything could be removed to avoid it.
If you were charged for the return, then most commonly you had either a Schedule !, 2, or 3 added to your Form 1040, or less commonly another form. Download the PDF and view/print out your return and see if there is a Schedule 1, 2, or 3 or another form you weren't aware of.
This is a user community forum, and nothing account-specific can be handled here. Only TurboTax Customer Support can do anything about a billing issue, but convincing them about an online product will be difficult. But it can't hurt to try and plead your best case. When you phone, if a robot asks for your issue, say something like "speak to an agent about a billing issue."
