I have a question about my Federal Tax Refund. I efiled my return with Turbo Tax on February 26. It was accepted on February 27. I requested direct deposit in the same account I have used for many years. I still have not received my refund and everytime I try Get My Refund Status it says still processing. There is nothing odd about my return. No EIC, no child tax credit, just SS income and investment income. I have called every phone number I can find only to get a recorded message on all of them that they can not take my call. How can I speak to a real person to find out what the issue is with my refund?

TurboTax gives you an estimated date for receiving your refund based on a 21 day average from your date of acceptance, but it can take longer. “21 days” is not a promise from TurboTax or the IRS. Many refunds are taking longer during the pandemic. The IRS is backlogged —-they are still trying to process millions of 2019 returns; they received millions of e-filed on the day they opened for 2020 returns, and now they are burdened with sending out another round of stimulus checks.
Some delays are resulting from incorrect amounts that folks entered for stimulus checks they received. Many people have been confused by the recovery rebate credit and completed it incorrectly. The IRS may delay your refund while they cross-check to see what you received.
First, check your e-file status to see if your return was accepted:

Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control. TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.
You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount (line 34of your 2020 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:

If you chose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund, that will take some extra time, while the third party bank handles the refund processing.

Thank you for your reply. This is pretty much all the information I already have and have tried without any success. I would agree with the longer processing time and be very willing to wait, however, many people who filed after I did have received their refunds. I know this as I did their taxes and filed them. I just want to speak to a live person who can check to make sure my return is actually being processed and that there are no issues. That seems to be an impossibility. As far as the stimulus goes, I received all three deposits in the correct amounts so that can't be a holdup. All of the articles I have read regarding the holdup on refunds cite issues with stimulus, EIC or child care credits. I have none of these complications.
