Recovery Rebate Credit-Entering the amount

I’m claiming my live in girlfriend as a dependent for 2021 since she is a student, did not have any income and I am supporting her. We both received the $1,400 economic impact payment in 2021. When Turbo Tax asks for the amount shown on the Letter 6475, do I enter the $1,400 I received or the sum of $2,800 representing the payments we both received?

You do not enter the $1400 that your GF received last year.   You only enter the amount that YOU received.

So by claiming her as a dependent, I'm entitled to another $1400 even though she already received a $1400 payment.  That doesn't make sense to me.  What am I missing?

@Maries2 You are missing that Congress left a big loophole in the law, and that even if your dependent got the $1400 last year for himself/herself  if you are now claiming them as a dependent for 2021, you can get the $1400 on your own return.
