Hi so I work part time at a grocery store I have recently graduated school and am starting to do some design work independently to add to my resume until I find a job with a studio or agency. Can I have self employment tax withheld from my regular job by using a W-4 form? I didn't start earning pay as self employed until this month.

Yes, you can certainly ask your employer to withhold more tax from your regular W-2 pay to cover your self-employed profit. It's not designated as self-employed tax, though, it's just additional income tax, which is fine. It all washes out in your return and extra income tax withheld is applied to your self-employed tax owed.
