Thanks but THIS IS NOT THE PROBLEM. I AM NOT STUPID EVEN IF TT THINKS SO. I USED THE CORRECT PIN IT IS A TT ISSUE.
Husband took return to mail at usps this morning so at least the IRS will receive it, unlike apparently when supposedly transmitted by TT.
Checked IRS website and says they are currently processing paper returns received in Feb 2025. Note that they state they generally process paper returns having refunds before others. So perhaps paper filing will be actually faster for those stuck in TT transmittal limbo, assuming no errors or special handling needed of course. From the IRS website:
Electronically filed Form 1040 returns are generally processed within 21 days.
We’re currently processing paper returns received during the months below.
This does not include those that require error correction or other special handling. We generally process paper returns where a refund is expected before all other returns."
Anyone do the 5 days early and when you look on turbo tax it says the recieved your refund. But you still haven't
?
Yes I called the lady tried to say they haven’t received my taxes. So I ask well how yall get paid then she changed it up and said just wait till the end of today if it’s not on there call back . I use turbo tax for the last 6 years this my last .
Yes me she tried to lie and say they haven’t received it from irs I asked them how y'all get paid. Then she said wait till the end of today. I’m done with them they charge me 128 to do regular taxes they always charge me for deluxe and I never pick that. think we should start a law suit . They hold it get a few days interest then give it to us.
Yea mine says the recieved it 5 days early but it's not in my account and honestly everyone i know said theirs said it would be deposited by the 24th and they already have it so I'm not sure how this is 5 days early even if I do get it today they are quick to take their money but take time dispersing it.
I was told you can call and they will refund you the money.
Yea they also charged me a ridiculous amount told me what I would get back changed the price after to 10 dollars more then taxed it lol it was originally 89 dollars then 99 now it's 108 plus 40 for them to take it out and 25 to get it early and then taxed every single product after lol I normally don't use tt and I don't think I will again
If I don't get it today I will forsure request it back cause even on the about it says we've recieved your refund 5 days early but I haven't got it so that's not what I paid for lol
I file on 2/18 and it still pending and today is the 21st already this has never happened before who can we contact
Did yours get accepted yet?
So sorry to hear you are caught in the TT processing limbo. I am not a tax expert, just a long time but no more TT user after this year. There have IMO just been too many TT generated problems over the past few years especially this year and last. So like many others I will be going elsewhere.
Usually TT sends an email after successful processing that the return is accepted/rejected. In previous years, this has normally happened for me within a few hours and a day at most. Supposedly it can take up to 3 business days according to posts by TT "employee tax experts".
If you have not received the typical notification email, just in case of email address problems, if you have not already done so you can also check your status within your TT return sw. It will most likely say pending.
If you have a refund, the IRS has a link posted elsewhere in this thread by others (it is also easy to find online at IRS.gov) you can check the status/to see if IRS has received, but again it most likely will show error/cannot be found.
Assuming all this is the case, which IMO it almost certainly is but you should check just to make sure, "welcome" to TT transmittal limbo. You could try contacting TT customer service, the number was posted elsewhere in this thread by a TT employee, but others who have done so on this issue have reported for the most part not receiving any meaningful help or positive resolution.
If you are certain your taxes are correct, especially with no special circumstances or credits, you might consider efiling with someone else as some who have done so have reported immediate or almost immediate (within a few hours) acceptance. I couldn't face doing the return yet again so finally just mailed a paper copy via usps with proof of delivery which of course will substantially delay my refund.
Good luck, hope it goes better for you soon but reported experiences here are not encouraging.
I was accepted on 1/28 and my refund STILL says processing for my federal but I received my state refund like 3 weeks ago
In the community we do not have access to information about your refund.
If you want specific information you will have to call TurboTax Customer service. Here is a link: Turbo Tax Customer Service
Where's my Refund is the most accurate information as it is directly from the IRS. Once your return is filed, TurboTax has no control over the processing of your return or the release of your refund. The TurboTax site can only update if the information is provided for the software to update. This doesn't always happen so the information shown on TurboTax could be behind.
The IRS is who is issuing your refund, not TurboTax, so the IRS has the most up to date information.
Here are a couple FAQs to track your refund:
When will I get my federal tax refund?
How do I track my state refund?
Why does Where's My Refund say "approved" but TurboTax still says "accepted"?
Why do some refunds take longer than others?
What if my IRS refund is taking longer than 21 days?
Responding to catinat1 employee tax expert
Not sure to whom you are actually replying, but my post wasn't about refunds per se. It had to do with not receiving any acceptance/rejection notification of efiled returns after days to weeks which in previous years have in my case come back through TT within a few hours and at most in a day. Since so many others are having the same problem, and some who have finally given up on TT and efiled again elsewhere and have gotten an immediate or almost immediate response wrt acceptance/rejection within hours, I have to seriously wonder whether or not TT actually transmitted my efiled return especially since checking the IRS site (possible since I am owed a refund) shows error/not found. Finally gave up on TT and took and mailed paper return from USPS so at least I know it was actually filed though will greatly delay my refund.
To me it certainly doesn't in the cases where customers are efiling again elsewhere (ie other than TT) successfully doesn't seem to be an IRS problem. Unfortunately in my experience TT always tries to blame the customer or the IRS even for the problems caused by TT. Given another huge problem this year with the endless activation login loop--clearly a TT problem but TT provided NO help--and was also late with some forms that the IRS had available (though TT claimed not) IMO TT has no credibility anymore.
So thanks for responding, but as usual, IMO TT sidesteps the issues and never addresses the real questions. Given all the problems the past few years I have experienced after decades using TT, next year I am going elsewhere and looks like some others are too. I realize TT doesn't care anymore about their customers, IMO it is blatantly obvious.
Please no need for any TT employee tax expert to respond, it is a waste of everyone's time. Customers will IMO just need to eventually figure out how to fix or address the problem (efile elsewhere, file paper return, continue to wait for however long?|) as best meets their individual circumstances.
Good luck to everyone in TT transmittal limbo.
Has this been fixed? Same problem here
