When you e-file your federal return you will receive two emails from TurboTax. The first one will say that your return was submitted. The second email will tell you if your federal return was accepted or rejected. If you e-filed a state return, there will be a third email to tell you if the state accepted or rejected your state return.
First, check your e-file status to see if your return was accepted:

If the IRS accepted it, what does it say here?
https://www.irs.gov/refunds Or does your account say “Ready to Mail?”
Note: If it says “Ready to Mail” or “Printed” that means YOU have to mail it yourself. TurboTax does not mail your tax return for you.
I never received an e-mail saying the return was on its way. Nor did I receive an e-mail saying they were accepted by IRS or Ohio, but when look at my e-file status in the program it says BOTH were accepted. I have checked the spam folder and there was nothing there. I prepared my husband's return a few days before mine and had all 3 e-mails in my in box within a day. When I looked at IRS to check for refund information it did not have anything for my return. I know it has only been a coupe days, but I should have received something!
Maybe you need to check the email address you have for your TT account and see if it is correct.
Why didn’t I receive a email stating my returns was accepted
Check your spam folder.
Did you e-file? Did you click a big orange button that said “Transmit my returns now?”

I have gone back into my 2020 tax return and it says it has been electronically filed. I did not receive any emails stating this. I filed on Feb 18, 2021. Can I refile it?
@oldwomaninpurple It is not recommended to re-file your return. If you're looking for an acceptance email, be sure to check your spam folder as if may have gone there.
I am seeing a lot of posts with the same issue so TT is having an issue. We are not getting a TT acceptance email. I did get the processing email. And yes I checked my spam. So can a TT employee please confirm this - if I click on the efile status (Cd version) and if it says accepted for Federal and State that everything is filed? If you can’t confirm this fact because I didn’t get my email than how do we check. This makes me uncomfortable not having an email receipt.
Same thing happened to me today (4/6/2024). Did not get the return transmitted or return accepted email. This is a Turbox tax issue and should be fixed.
This just happened to me today (April 7, 2024) did not receive submitted email or accepted. Check status in software and it say accepted. Also the electronic postmark report shows April 7 as accepted date….yet never got any emails
Once you have submitted your return in TurboTax Online, you should be able to see its status on the Tax Home screen of your account.
Look at your bar across the top of your screen, it should look like this:
You can use the IRS tool Where's My Refund to check if your e-filed return has been received.

Same thing happened to me, I filed mine today and did not receive any emails. I always receive an acknowledgement and then an acceptance email from TurboTax. Neither of them came. But when I look in TurboTax it says it was accepted.
Also I did my parents taxes a few days ago and they received the confirmation emails, so how come I didn't get one? Doesn't make sense. Something change that we are not aware of?
You can check that your return was received by the taxing authority using these instructions: Check the Electronic Postmark of your Return. Pay close attention to the separate lines for Federal and State. They are separate statuses.
