I have not filed electronically for many years. I have everything ready but I do not have an electronic number to enter. What can I do?
You may choose to enter your AGI for tax verification purposes. In 2018, this was reported on line 7 of Form 1040. The self-select PIN is chosen by the taxpayer and TurboTax does not have access to this information.
This is the message I get when I try to submit:
The primary taxpayer's AGI or Self-select PIN from last year does not match IRS records. Reject Code IND-031-04
Check the AGI on your 2018 1040 form line 7.
If you can't locate your 2018 return, you can request an online transcript or a copy by mail from the IRS website.
If the IRS keeps rejecting the return, you can print it and mail it in.
I am at the point of efiling both my fed and state but cannot get my password changed by entering the code from the phone text.
when I click on submit it returns me to the submit screen
Why can’t I sign my taxes
Are you receiving an error? Is your return being rejected? In the File menu, you will be taken through a series of three steps to complete your filing. Is your return being held up in this process?
my password is not being accept
@Robinson-reimink, are you speaking about your password used to login to your TurboTax account? It should not be asking you for a password in order to e-file. Is it asking for a PIN?
