Few--if any--state programs and/or state forms are fully ready. And.... Your state return cannot be accepted until the federal return has been accepted. The IRS will not begin to accept federal returns until January 29.
Click Review to see if you are missing some forms needed in order to e-file.
Many federal and state forms are not yet available. Check here for form availability. The dates are subject to change.
No hurry to e-file since the IRS will not begin to accept/reject 2023 e-files until January 29. And….a state return cannot be accepted until after the IRS accepts your federal return.
should be self-explanatory. The state's forms in Turbotax are not final. Thus state can not be e-file until they are finalized. No rush. The IRS e-filing doesn't open until 1/29. thus any e-filed returns federal and state just sit on Turbotax servers until then. the sate can be e-filed at the same time as the federal or after but not before the federal is accepted.
Yes, it would be nice to know when we can print final forms for 2023 Michigan Income Tax. Can Turbo Tax please advise??

The Michigan state tax forms for tax year 2023 are scheduled to be available on 01/31/2024 for both printing and e-filing
Go to this TurboTax website for federal and state forms availability - https://form-status.app.intuit.com/tax-forms-availability/formsavailability?albRedirect=true&product...
STILL not available even on the date it's stating. FRUSTRATED.
The issue has been fixed, and the release is going out on 1/31. You can try printing on 02/01.
I was hoping today would be the day, as stated. I will be able to efile my state come tomorrow now? (I paid for fed and state visa TurboTax, and got approved already for Federal.)
So I need to wait until tomorrow to file Michigan? I tried this morning as it is 1/31 and it is not letting me file today either. Why give the 1/31 date if it is really 2/1? I am so confused.
SAME! So frustrating!

Because for Online TurboTax, no one knows exactly what time of day the update will occur, or whether it will happen overnight tonight. Desktop users should get the regular weekly update that should occur overnight tonight. And occasionally it's even possible a date can be pushed back, kinda like watching the arrivals and departures of an airline flight.
You can watch the Forms Availability Table through the link below. When the Michigan forms are ready, green checkmarks will appear in the table by the forms.
FAQ: When will my individual tax forms be available in TurboTax?
Same issue here. Get it together Turbo Tax. I need to get my taxes filed.
The Forms Availability Table isn't helpful anymore when the date Availability is wrong.
If I didn't pay for both returns already, i might have tried FreeTaxUSA by now.
This is beyond irritating this is my first and last year using turbo tax first it said they would be available the 29th then they pushed it back until the 31st I feel like turbo tax is unreliable and the most irritating part it you can’t efile using another software you can’t do an efile stand alone with the state it has to be on paper all software requires you to do both fed and state together this is ridiculous
