Where is the jump to link?

I have not "jump to " link when I search. I am trying to find the section where I enter home office information, both in my 2019 program and my 2020 program.

Where is the jump to link?

Assuming this is a home office related to your business, you can enter your input in the federal interview section of the program as follows:

  1. Select Income & Expenses
  2. Select Self-employment income and expenses
  3. On the screen titled Your 2020 self-employed work summary, select edit to the right of the applicable business activity.
  4. On the next page, you will be able to edit expenses.
  5. Scroll down to and select Edit to the right of Home office.

The steps will be the same for both 2019 and 2020.

Did you review all the screenshots on this thread for accessing the Search function, entering the form number and then accessing the Jump to link?

Which TurboTax program are you using?

The TurboTax online edition where you access your account on the web with a User ID and Password?

Or the TurboTax desktop CD/Download editions installed and accessed only on your personal computer?

Trying to get to the import tool for Its Deductable

You didn't say if you are using Online TurboTax or desktop software (CD/download).   If you are using desktop software, only the Deluxe and higher editions can import from ItsDeductible; desktop Basic Edition cannot.   Online Free Edition cannot import from ItsDeductible.

In the interest of time, I'll assume you are using Online TurboTax, Deluxe or higher.

Here are 4 methods to get to importing ItsDeductible.  All 4 methods work for me in Online Premier.  I just tested them all again tonight.     The first 2 methods use the "jump to" approach; the other 2 methods do not.

Method 1:

  • Log in and open your return
  • When the return is open, in the top right of the screen click on SEARCH.
  • In the search box, enter the term itsdeductible ( one word, without quotes) and then click the adjacent magnifying glass icon (do not choose anything in the dropdown menu or it might not work).
  • Then click the “Jump to itsdeductible” link.
  • Next screen:  "Did you make any donations to charity in 2021?"    Say yes.
  • The next screen is "Do you have an account with ItsDeductible Online?"  Say yes.
  • Follow the instructions and import your donations.

Method 2:
Same as first method above, but in the Search box enter the term donations (without quotes), and then click the adjacent magnifying glass icon (do not choose anything suggested in the dropdown menu or it might not work).

  • Then click the “Jump to donations” link.
  • Next screen:  "Did you make any donations to charity in 2021?"    Say yes.
  • The next screen is:  "Do you have an account with ItsDeductible Online?"  Say yes.
  • Follow the instructions and import your donations.

Method 3:

  • Log in and open your return.
  • With the return open, click in the left menu column on the Tax Tools tab, then choose TOOLS.
  • In the Tools window click the blue button Topic Search.
  • In the Topic Search popup enter the word itsdeductible without quotes, highlight the selection, and click GO.
  • Next screen asks:   "Did you make any donations to charity in 2021?"  Say yes.
  • The next screen is:  "Do you have an account with ItsDeductible Online?"   Say "yes" and continue the interview.

Method 4 :

  • Using regular navigation go to the Federal tab in the left column, then at the top go to Deductions & Credits section.
  • Continue until you get to a summary screen that says "Your Tax Breaks".  Scroll down and look for a link that says "All Tax Breaks".  Click that to expand that section, then you will see all deduction topics and subtopics.
  • Scroll down to the topic "Charitable Donations" and click Show More to expand and see the donations subtopics.
  • Choose "Import from ItsDeductible Online."

The Jump to link is provided once you enter a search term in the search box in TurboTax. You can view the steps in the below TurboTax help article.

Where is the jump to link?

If you are using TurboTax Online, search is located in the upper right corner. Click on that, enter 1099-B. Enter and the Jump to link will show up.

@PattiF   There is a containment for the Desktop program but it's looping  back to the income summary in the Online version too.  Please pass it up to support.
