I am trying to delete a K-1 but all the instructions require me to use the Jump To link which isn't visible.
Please help.
Try using the following steps:
Or, go to the Income section of your TurboTax Online return and look for the category of income for S-Corps, Partnerships, and Trusts. The K-1 entries will be under that section of income.
If you are using a CD/downloaded version of TurboTax, look for the Business Investment or Estate/Trust Income section to find the K-1 entries.
Here's a screen shot of Online Jump to.....
Thank you but that didn't help. There is no blue jump to link, regardless of what I enter. I can find no way to get to the summary K-1 page that I evidently need to delete. I installed the software from a CD and am using the MAC version. Very frustrating.
I know it's can be hard to use the Jump To link. You have to type the search words exactly right. I don't use it.
What version do you have?
Try deleting it this way. Go to the K-1 interview section here
Federal
Wages and Income
Then scroll way down to Business Items
Schedules K-1, Q - Click the Start or Update button
If the first screen says "Do you want to review Schedule K-1?". You have to answer yes and then click Update by the Schedule K-1 type (LLC, S corp, trust). The next screen is the Summary screen listing all of the K-1 entered for that type of entity. You can review, edit or delete it there.
One user found he had to add a fake name first.....
I figured out that I had to actually start fixing this problem by entering a fake K-1 name to the TurboTax request and then going back to the "Update the Schedule K-1" and deleting the fake K-1 name.
I seem to be able to delete the K-1 at the Federal level but I am unable to file the New Jersey return as I'm prompted to enter missing info for a K-1 (which doesn't exist). I've paid the NJ filing fee but am unable to file. If I try just making up partnership info I'm told the entry isn't valid. I'm stuck.
Now that you fixed federal you should start the state over to update state. To start state over you can first delete state then add it again.
Thank you. One last question. If I delete the state, will I lose the approximately $25 I paid for the state filing fee?
Follow up to my last question - if I can't delete the state return because I paid the filing fee, is there a way I can create a whole new return, under a different name, and get a credit for the filing fee?
I appreciate your help -

Are you using the Desktop program? You can switch to Forms and try to fix state that way.
That worked!
Many thanks
I can't find like kind exchange. I don't have a Jump To link.
Are you using the Mac CD/download software? If so you don't have a Search feature but need to find the search item in the Topic List.
How do I estimate taxes for 2020? I searched for 1040-es, but I don't see a "Jump To" link. Thank you

I don't have any problem bringing up the "Jump to 1040-es" link. I can provide you a screen shot of the steps, once I know what version you are using (online versus desktop), but I'll also provide direct navigation method below.
Are you using desktop software (CD/download) (and if so, for Mac or Windows?) or Online TurboTax (web version)? Depending on which version, I can tell you a couple of shortcuts to get to the estimated tax interview, including how to use the "jump to" or another shortcut method.
Or you can use direct navigation in both versions. There may be a slight difference between the online version and desktop version, but generally it is like this:
Once you know the amount you want to pay, there are also a couple of electronic options to make Federal estimated payments that require no paperwork and no mail.
One easy way is to make 1040-ES quarterly payments by using IRS Direct Pay electronically, and nothing has to be filled out and mailed.
If paying electronically at the IRS Direct Pay site, there is no fee to have it taken directly out of your bank account. There is a service fee, however, for paying by credit/debit card. If you decide to make a payment there out of your bank account, for "Reason for Payment" choose "Estimated tax". For "Apply Payment To" choose "1040-ES". Then choose the tax year you're paying.
Should you decide to pay there, then print out a confirmation for your records.
The advantage of IRS Direct Pay is that it doesn't require an initial pre-enrollment, unlike EFTPS which I'll explain in the next paragraph.
While you can use IRS Direct Pay each quarter, if desired, if you think you are going to be making quarterly payments for a long time into the future, then you may want to consider opening a free account at the US Treasury's EFTPS website (Electronic Federal Tax Payment System.) You can even schedule quarterly payments in advance and make other types of Federal tax payments, such as a balance due on your Form 1040, etc. For first time use, you have to set it up in advance with your banking info, and the IRS sends you a PIN in postal mail ( I don't know if the Coronavirus has delayed that any.) Once set up, you can then make online payments there at the EFTPS website, or payments can be made by phone with the PIN. For more info on EFTPS, there is an extensive FAQ page in the left menu column at this link:
