Check the IRS website for status of the stimulus payment and update your bank information if necessary.
AGI is line 7 on your 2018 return and line 8B on your 2019 return. Refund is line 21a of the 2019 tax return. and line 20a for 2018
I see you guys aren't even addressing the fact that so many of the users of TurboTax haven't received their payments because of miscommunication with the IRS. It seems you guys are blaming the IRS and the IRS is blaming you. However, as usual, it's the customers who are the ones suffering. And, you guys don't seem to be in any hurry to correct your mistakes. If you were, you would be communicating what's being done to correct the situation very openly. Instead, we're left to scour through these never ending message chains to find out why we haven't received our stimulus money. Do better!!! https://www.cbsnews.com/news/h-r-block-turbotax-glitch-may-impact-some-stimulus-checks/
And, just for the record, I have had direct deposit filled in for my refund.
Your guess is as good as mine. I'm still trying to input my direct deposit information into the Portal. FYI, I used TurboTax, got a refund, and the IRS still didn't have any information. Good luck
Hi, I filed my 2019 tax return through Turbo tax. I have my Turbo card. Tried getting on the portal everyday but all it says is its unavailable. I still have not received my stimulus package.
this is the IRS FAQ on this:
The Get My Payment application will return "Payment Status Not Available" for several reasons, including:
We update Get My Payment data once per day, overnight so there is no need to check more often. If you are eligible for a payment and have provided your information either through a recent tax return or the Non-Filers: Enter Payment Info Here application, please check back for updates.
This is what TurboTax sent me after I filed a complaint with the BBB. I still do not have my money! Greendot was very rude and hateful when I finally was able to speak to them. You have to call a totally different number. They lady there tried to tell me there was no pending deposits. Howver, I know the money was sent. Greendot is basically stealing our money. TurboTax won't do anything to help us. He keeps saying I will reach out to them. Over a week has went by and they neither one have done anything. So, I filed a complaint with the FDIC. I'm also going to have my lawyer sue both companies. I'm done messing with them. Neither company wants to be responsible. Neither company wants to be helpful. It's a joke. I have used turbo since 2005 and I will never use them again.
@hjones000 - I'll assume that the IRS website says they sent the payment? if it went to Greendot and "bounced back" the IRS will send a paper check.
By chance, did you do a loan advance or have the fees subtracted from your refund? that is a critical component of the issue
I didn't get a loan. The fees were taken out. 6eah it shows it was sent on the 15th. Here it is the 23rd. There is no reason for me not to have it. I actually have covid 19. So, I really needed this stimulus since I have been off.
sorry for your current situation. I do believe the payment "bounced back" to the IRS.. Best to do is just wait on the paper check to arrive.
per the IRS FAQ:
a letter about the Payment will be mailed to each recipient’s last known address within 15 days after the Payment is made. The letter will provide information on how the Payment was made and how to report any failure to receive the Payment.
Ok thank you.
@NCperson I think it’s really just Greendot bank , I have a friend that had $130 worth of fees taken out her taxes , and she been received her money April 13th on a Chime card ! On the other hand I had no fees or a advance and still didn’t get my money even though IRS on get my payment said it was deposited to me on the 15th.
I’m having a similar problem. Apparently the IRS cannot determine my eligibility. Very frustrating.
I e-filed in January and still have yet to receive my stimulus or refund . I went to " get my payment " and it told me it couldn't give me information
