When will the 2021 8915-f form be available on Turbo Tax to efile?

I also constantly get the "needs review" even when I am answering all questions correctly, per instructions on this page.  I talked to someone from TT last night, and all they did was go through the help boards just like I am doing.  Is this a software problem?

I did notice that my 2020 figure in my summary indicates the full amount of the withdrawal, even though I chose three installments.  My return from last year has the one-third amount on line 11 as the "amount subject to tax."  I did a test and re-entered my 2020 1099-R, and the "needs review" went away, but then it also taxed me on the full amount of the withdrawal.  Help!

Only the 2nd year of the distribution will be entered on your federal tax return Form 1040 on either Line 4b or Line 5b.

Look at your tax return to verify -

You can view your Form 1040 at any time using the online editions. Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the online program screen. Click on Tools. Click on View Tax Summary. Click on Preview my 1040 on the left side of the screen.

That is correct.  only one-third of the distribution is showing on line 5b.

So you are not being taxed on the full amount of the 2020 distribution, only 1/3 of the distribution.

Yes, the tax part is correct, but I can't get the "needs review" cleared from my summary.  I don't want it to be a red flag for audit.

If you did not enter a 2021 Form 1099-R on your tax return then the "Review" indicator can be ignored.  You can complete and file your tax return without a problem with the IRS.  The Form 8915-F will be included with your tax return.

I tried to do an example screenshot of the lines that need to be filled in to get rid of the NEEDS REVIEW but it won't let me share it here or in PM.

I can't get rid of the "needs review," but they told me to just go ahead and file it with the  "needs review" and all.  ???

When will the 2021 8915-f form be available on Turbo Tax to efile?

@plchristopher I got rid of it by saying no to the question it asks u after clicking wrap income.  I dont remember the exact question but it's a repeat question that u already said yes to in the 1099r section.  If u keep saying yes to the question after u click on wrap income, it will keep sending you back to need review.

Does anyone know if it’s possible to pay 2/3 of the taxes now rather than split it by 1/3 again?

When will the 2021 8915-f form be available on Turbo Tax to efile?

@Taxrookie3

Of course you can pay 2/3 back now.

You must do it before you file your tax return.

then report it all on your 2021 tax return.

half of that will be carried forward to apply on your 2022 tax return.

If you want to prepay your 2022 taxes if that's what you're thinking,

make a big payment with Form 4868.

Then you can apply the extra to your next year tax return. see 1040 line 36
