Of course you can pay 2/3 back now.
You must do it before you file your tax return.
then report it all on your 2021 tax return.
half of that will be carried forward to apply on your 2022 tax return.
If you want to prepay your 2022 taxes if that's what you're thinking,
make a big payment with Form 4868.
Then you can apply the extra to your next year tax return. see 1040 line 36
