Intuit needs to get there act together before November???? David, you need to take a chill pill buddy! LOL November is not late by any stretch of the imagination. There is PLENTY of time to get material and "act". If not for you, then get yourself a good accountant and they will be happy to tell you the same thing.
Again I point out ... to do any 2019 tax planning and use the What If tool you must use the fully operational 2018 downloaded program ... the 2019 program will what if for the 2020 tax year NOT the 2019 one.
You do the Save As at the beginning.
Start the 2018 program
Open your 2018 return by going up to File->Open
Then save your return with a new name to test in. Go up to
File->Save As to make a copy of your return to test in. Or are you on a Mac? Mac might say Duplicate.

Forms Mode lets you view and make changes to your tax forms "behind the scenes."
If you're adventurous, you can even prepare your return in Forms Mode, but we don't recommend it. You may miss obscure credits and deductions you qualify for, and you may forget to report things that will come back and haunt you later.
