When installing turbotax 2023 CD, I get "msvcp140.dll not found".

Are you using the download?  This user got it to install by switching to Chrome from Microsoft Edge.

I corrected by using the download feature from turbotax using the CD activation code. I was then able to run the download to install turbotax. Thanks

Apparently Intuit has corrected the issue of the missing x86 version of the Visual C++ Redistributable package in the download version but the CDs were created before that fix was made.  Good to know.

So what is the answer to this problem? I get this error when trying to install Turbotax from the CD. Is there a solution? Thanks.

Use the download method instead of the CD. It has more advantages over the CD and will be the current updated version and may fix installing errors the CD has. Then you can also download it another computer or if you need to reinstall it. Or just buy the Download from Turbo Tax or Costco etc.

There should be a card in the CD case or on the CD envelope that says how to download it and you will need the 14 or 16 digit code from it to enter.
