I thought for a moment the problem was solved this afternoon. I was asked for the description of NY PFL on two forms. I filled them in. Still getting the "Tax Year 2023 transmissions are not available" message. Grrr.
I just tried again and getting the same message.
It's March 2nd, 2024, this is due March 15th, how is it not available?
@CatinaT1 how do I get this to transmit or get a refund? It's extremely frustrating that this is even an issue. As you can see my returns are "double-checked" and "ready to e-file"
I had this same problem. It is March 2, 2024. So, to hopefully get my Federal Business Taxes done, I filed only my Federal Taxes. It worked. When I then tried to file my Texas State taxes, it failed with this same ambiguous error message. So at least I got my Federal Taxes filed. Texas is not due until May 15, 2024. Hopefully it will be resolved by then.

The Texas state business forms are currently scheduled to become available for efiling on March 8, 2024. You can follow the availability of the Texas corporation forms at the link below.

Tried clearing browsing data in Chrome, re-opening Turbotax, and yet still am unable to transmit returns electronically. (trying 03/04/24)

The most common cause is a form not yet available for efiling. What product are you using, and is it Online TurboTax or desktop software (CD/download)? What type of return are you filing--a personal tax return (Form 1040), or a business return (corporation, partnership, etc.)? Are you also filing a state return? If so, what state?
If your efiling a personal Federal return (1040) and/or personal state return, check forms availability:

If you're filing a business return that has a state return, some states have forms that are not yet ready for efiling. Check Federal and state business forms at these links:

I have been getting the same message. I am in Texas and was trying to file my federal return and my state return at the same time. I read in this thread that you cannot file your state return until after your federal return is accepted. So I tried filing only my federal return and it was successful. I got a message that it will take 1 to 2 days for the government to process and accept my return. So I will try to file my state return in a couple of days. Hope that helps.
Thanks to YOU, my federal return was was accepted.
I, like you, will try the state in a few days!
THANK YOU!!
Federal is filed. I'll try NYS again in a couple of days. PHEW!!
Thank you I was able to file the federal and the state is the issue! Such a crappy error message and code logic!
This is the last year for Turbo tax for me. I have 4 filings and no quickbooks with desktop and no state filing electronically. I'm done. I'm ready to start an old fashion company where searches don't go cloud first and apps are desktop and private. Anyone interested in crowd funding such a company email me [email address removed]
Federal was accepted, however, attempts to file NYS still receive the same message. This. Blows.
What kind of business return are you trying to file? Check and make sure it is supported for efiling. Please check here for form and efile availability: Business State Forms Availability
I was able to file my federal return but NYSis still getting the transmission error. When will this be fixed? This is for personal tax filing not business.
What are you doing Turbotax? GA s-corp taxes are due 3/15 and you've totally dropped the ball this year for efiling (that's one of the major reasons I use Turbotax) - the forms I need for efiling were supposed to be ready 2/21 then 3/1 and then 3/8 -- IT'S 3/11 and STILL NOT FIXED! Pathetic.
