Upgrade from deluxe to premier. Will it add state?

I ordered turbo tax deluxe this year for 2024.  Mistakenly I ordered the version that is federal only and doesn't include state which is unfortunate since looking back the difference in price is $7.  To add a state in the software its $40.  Which is crazy by the way.  That being said upgrade the software to Premier is $35.  My question is if I upgrade to premier will I get 1 state included?

Well another $35 down the drain.  Upgraded and it didn't include state.  Even though both the check out process said state along with the receipt

Here's a thought.  First update the program.   Then you first might need to start a fake return to be able to download the state program (go to FILE - NEW). Enter some basic information, then go to the state tab and download the state program. Then try to open your existing return, go to FILE - OPEN

After a long call with support and a full uninstall and reinstall state finally showed up correctly.
