Sometimes the state will offset your refund.  If that happened, they will send you a letter of explanation.  You can also try to contact them to see why your refund does not match what TurboTax showed.

What is a refund offset?

So far I have received nothing from the IRS

Unable to complete.

My federal efile has bounced twice.  Both times, the reason given was AGI or PIN wrong.  AGI is correct.  Turbotax filled it in from its record of my 2019 return and I checked my own copy.  PIN does not match last year because I did not use efile in 2019.  There was no PIN last year.  Apparently, I am not allowed to use efile because I did not use it last year.  That is absurd.  Is it the fault of Turbotax or the IRS?

There is a very good chance that the IRS has not completed processing of the 2019 tax return so would not have the 2019 AGI for you available on their database.

Enter a 0 (zero) for the 2019 AGI and e-file the tax return again.

I have a situation where I am reporting self employment income where I am in a partnership but receive a salary.  However, I am part of the employer 401k and not an individual 401k. Does turbo tax allow me to enter 401k deduction in this scenario?

If the "salary" is reported on a W-2 the 401k contributions will be subtracted from the income in box 1 and reported in Box 12 with a code of D.

If you receive a K-1 the contributions to the employer's 401k should be shown on the K-1 in Box 13 with Code R.

When you are going through the interview to enter the K-1 you will see a screen, Enter Code R Detail.  The box for the payments to 401K should already be filled out.  You can also enter any
Employer matching Contributions to the 401k.

Your transmission didn't go through
We could not e-file your return for the following reason:
Duplicate Social Security Number: A tax return with the same Social Security number has already been submitted - in other words, it appears you're trying to e-file the same return twice. If you need to change this return, you'll need to file an amended return on paper, by mail. If you'd like to e-file your state return using TurboTax, it will need to be filed along with your federal return. You may also e-file your federal return now, then submit your state return later via TurboTax, by mail, or by visiting your state's tax website for alternative e-filing options.
