Threshold question: Did you purchase the product in the screenshot below?
If so, are you receiving some sort of error message?
Maybe you need to update the program? Go up to Online-Check for Updates. At least that's where it is in the personal Desktop program.
I found these 2 FAQ
Windows can not save file
Windows error 131 Saving
Thanks much for your reply. FYI I purchased product off the Intuit Turbo Tax website.
When attempting to save files to the "Documents" folder a pop-up box appears reading "Unable to Find File". Although TurboTax tech support agent was unable to fix the problem; in the process of troubleshooting we found that the same "Save As" command is able to save the files on my "Desktop" (Only). Am running Windows 10 on an HP PC.
I'm not sure if you resolved this but I have the same problem. Worked on a lot of data entering and thought I saved it but nope, all is lost. I saved another year but the one I was mostly done, didn't save. Super annoying.
I just downloaded TurboTax Home and Business. When i try to save new file or exit I receive a "File not found. Check the file name and try again" message
If I try to update software, I must save the file first, and I cannot save the file because "file not found."
The problem was the windows security app, which prevented access to the hard drive due to virus concerns. I got in the security app and allowed the Turbotax app and then was able to save my Turbotax file onto the hard drive.
