The post you referenced calls the problem "solved".
Not solved. This is not the OS, it's Turbo Tax code. I recommend fixing your software.
And they state that Turbo Tax 2022 should work on Big Sur / OSX 11. Not working. The new TT update crashes every time.
I don't think that "Solved" means the problem is solved. Just that the support article has been posted.
Thought this was interesting. I put the error log messages from the aborted startup into ChatGPT and got this:

The provided text appears to be a log of a terminal session on a Mac computer where the user attempted to run TurboTax 2022 but encountered an error.
Here's a breakdown of the log:
The error suggests that there may be an issue with the TurboTax 2022 application, possibly due to a missing or incompatible library. To resolve this problem, you might need to update TurboTax or check for any missing dependencies. If the issue persists, you could contact TurboTax support for further assistance.
I am having the same problem, just posted here today
It is not working with BigSur 11.7.9 and uninstalling and reinstalling is not working even following all procedures from TurboTax (as described in my post).
Did anyone have an update from TT support?
R
I saw a post saying there should be an update to fix it tomorrow Friday Aug 4.
I also receive the following:
"This issue should be resolved by end of day on Friday August 4th. Remember to update your version of TurboTax.
Quit and reopen TurboTax then you'll be prompted to download the current update.
We know it’s frustrating to encounter problems like this. Thanks for your patience while we investigate and work on this issue."
I am concerned that opening TT and it will immediatley crash. So never get to the update prompt. I will try that but will then probably try and remove the program and reload with the install CD. I am hoping for an email from TurboTax for additional directions. Else it's back to the help line, who have been very helpful.
If anyone from Turbo Tax Support, can you reply to this concern.
I can report that today's update v2020.r42.071 solved the problem.
I have kept a copy of the last version that worked (2022.r37.066) so unless you have an working old version to launch you will probably need to install from CD or original download in order for the update to work.
Yes, 2022.r42.071 fixed the issue for me too.
I can also report this is fixed on latest TT update. In case you have problems the link below has a procedure for cleaning out old settings from the Library folder. I did this before downloading a fresh copy of Turbo Tax. It worked. Not sure you have to clean out everything but thought it would be good to have in case.
Hi Everyone,
I confirm that with the new update things are working fine. I uninstalled the program entirely and downloaded the new file.
For those consulting this forum to uninstall in mac please see:
Then you can get the new file on your account, scroll down in the turbotax page and see
Login there, select the turbotax 2022 that you already paid and install it again.
It worked for me!
Thanks everyone
The progress updates link is broken/removed
Yes, I moved the version in the Applications folder to Trash, and reloaded from the ordiginal CD. After update and relaunch, TruboTax 2022 was able to open again and I can access my tax returns.
Thanks to all who pursued this problem. I reinstalled today and all is well.
