@hscusiq can you confirm if you're using TurboTax Online or the CD/Download software installed to your computer?
I am using the download. I had completed the return but it would not eFile because there was something the IRS was still working on. I updated the software this morning and now it crashes at the start every time. I have deleted it and re-installed numerous times. It crashes every time. This is extremely frustrating. (I'm using Big Sur)

MichelleLO, How do I get to a person? When I call, the robovoice asks whether I want info sent via text or email. Then they send the same links as before.
Katrina- I had 3 separate phone calls to the 800 number. In the end, the download wouldn’t work. I had to use the web version. Still waiting for a refund.

Sounds like the same problem I have. When you start turbo tax it starts then says checking for updates then quits.
I am using Mac book pro on Monterey 12.2.1
I load from a CD because my Internet is slow in this area.
I have had Intuit push a 2021 to me as a down load and same problem.
I reached out to Apple three time and each time talking to different people each one help me make some head way. Each different fix required IOS down loads and last one did a "repairHomePermissionsPer" and IOS reload last night. (Did not fix problem)
This is what we found out
One of the test: we created another user account called (test1) on the computer and reloaded turbo tax 2021 and tried to run it from that user. It worked!!!! Tubbo Tax Checked for update, Installed updates (because I start from CD) then asked to register and started the program with the three smiling faces.
Then I loged out of that user at the bottom of the Apple menu and restated computer from my main user account.
It did not work even after reloading the turbo tax 2021 again it had the same problem.
a status bar (please wait checking for updates) only for 2 seconds the crash.
The last call to apple I was told to call turbo tax and talk to senior support on how delete the cache for turbo tax, sounds like you already did that and no help.
For now It looks like I will be running turbo Tax under the user (Test1)
As a side note 2029 and 2020 crash now , but 2010,11,12,13,14,15,16,17,and 18 still work under my main user account.
2019 an 2020 worked on Big Sur 11.5 when I was doing those for my son last October a few month back just before updating to Monterey.
Hope this helps, and I am still going to try and determine what is wrong, but for now using the work around you should be able to use you 2021 on Monterey on your computer.
I also as on of the test loaded the CD copy on an another MAC on 11.2 it worked the updated to Monterey and it still worked, So it seams like it us something with my (and yours) with our user profile.

Then I loged out and restated with the other new User (Test1) and turbo tax works fine
