TurboTax 2020 install fails on Activation - screen is blank

RESOLVED - Leave blank activation page open>>right click on the desktop>>click display settings>>change resolution to one below customers resolution>>The page will change, and you will see the box to enter the code. HOWEVER, you will not see the cursor, and the customer will not see anything when they type in the box, but it is typing. Now, once the customer has typed the code(only numbers and letters, no dashes)>>change the resolution back to original>>verify code is correct>>Click activate>>Change resolution lower again>>Click get started>>Change resolution back to original.

The method is all about changing resolution over and over to see. This is an issue related to Microsoft Windows. Some files, permission, and/or driver are blocking visual feedback.

If the install is unable to open. This is not the correct thread. Your issue is related to your folder hierarchy in windows. Create a new Admin username, then update the drivers with iobit driver booster.

I attempted to submit on 13 October.  Filing after the 15th was not the issue, but I appreciate your response.

After spending 45min on TT "help" line, I found this thread.  My computer display default is 125% and I was getting a BLANK activation pop-up.  Changed dispaly to 100% and could see the text.  LG Gram Laptop.  I asked TT help line to add this to their checklist!!!

I have 2h02 but this did not work for me.

Having used TT since it was ChipSoft, I am very disappointed that this has not been resolved yet. I guess I just sit and wait for a fix

Did not work for me! TT2019 installed on my new laptop and activated. TT2020 and TT2021 both launch a blank activation screen and go no further. So disappointing.

I have Win 11 version 21h2 and had the same problem of not getting the authorization screen to come up.  I fount that changing the screen size to anything will cause the screen to display.  I did not have to go to 800x600.  I also found you have to just type in the code and hope it is correct as there is no curser movement in the rectangle.

I purchased and loaded the 2021 TT software by using the BS resolution workarounds mentioned.  Now when I try to search in TT the popup is blank.  Changing the resolution works to see the popup contents, but I cannot see my cursor or execute any commands other than closing the popup.  Looks like I will need to use my old laptop again.

What a JOKE!  Come on Intuit, you must do better than this!
