I am using the desktop version of Turbo Tax Deluxe. It will not import from ETrade, and I've tried every ETrade option (all 3 of them). It just comes back and says there is nothing to import. I searched online and some people say to type the url in, but there is no option to do that in the desktop version, it appears that is in the online version. I tried it in the online version and it worked by typing in the login url. However, I already paid for the desktop version and need it to work there! I had several hundred trades so I can't type this all in by hand.
I can't believe there's this major bug. Also, I tried calling customer service but there seems no way to get to a live support person, and it just keeps wanting to give me generic help on importing a 1099. I've used the desktop version for years and never had any problems importing 1099 from ETrade.
I'm going to be pretty unhappy if after paying for the desktop version it has a major bug in it and the only way to file my taxes is to pay for the online version!
Also, not happy I can't seem to find a way to get through to a customer service representative. This may be my last year using Turbo Tax if the only way to resolve this problem is paying for the online version after already paying for the desktop version!

What is the TurboTax phone number?
OK, but I can't get to speak to a person, all it does is asks me to describe the issue and then wants to text me some generic info on how to import into Turbo Tax. I have been trying and trying and it doesn't let me speak to anyone! It is very frustrating!
I finally got through as somehow this time it gave me the option to talk to a representative (all the other times I tried I never could) and they are refunding me the purchase for the Windows version so I will do it with the online version since it can import the ETrade data.
