Did then I'm confused too. It first showed a CA tax due of $3,4xx? Then went to zero? That could only happen if you entered an estimated or extension payment you paid to cover it.
Did you change anything on the federal return? If you change federal you should start the state over to update state.
Try to start state over .....you can first delete state then add it again.
Did it said you OWE over 3,000? For a tax due or refund? If you meant a refund did you maybe say to apply it to next year as an estimated payment? At the end it asks if you want to apply it. That confuses people. Don't enter it in that spot.
It was CA TAX OWE $34**, when I finished Fed then I started State and like you said, I think I did something wrong with payment. How to fix this?
