I am a permanent resident of California. I worked for three months in CA, then accepted a temporary job in Texas, where I will have worked from March thru December 2024. When I file my 2024 taxes, will I file a single federal return for both Texas and CA earnings? I believe Texas does not have state taxes. Will my CA state taxes have to reflect that amount for state taxes that I would have paid Texas? Thx.

Thank you for your prompt response. One last question...will I get a single W-2 for my earnings for California and Texas?
No, you will receive two W-2's. One from the California employer and one from the Texas employer, assuming you worked for a different employer in Texas.
However, if you worked for the California employer while in Texas then you will receive only one W-2 from the California employer showing all wages received while you were an employee.
Texas does not have a personal income tax so there is not a Texas state income tax return to file.
Since you are a California resident you have to report all of your income, regardless of where earned, on the California state tax return.
Your federal tax return is not dependent on where you earn your income, you report all worldwide income, domestic and foreign, on the federal tax return.
