State says im not eligible to efile because returns that do not have an ssn or ein for each dependent care provider are not eligible for electronic filing

Someone hasn't read a single post in this entire thread about how no one here actually has these types of dependents. Will note to never trust AmyC with any tax advice.

I am also having this issue with nothing suggested by anyone in the thread working to resolve it, nor has any fix by TurboTax been found, apparently. Very annoying to go through all this process to file taxes and prepare to pay TurboTax more money than they are really worth to begin with just to encounter this ridiculous problem at the end. Going to find and use a different service provider to file my taxes this year and from now on.

I understand the IRS requires it. Well actually the state of Kentucky. However, the problem is for the ones who aren't even adding a Child Dependent Care Credit so we don't need to fill it in. It's still saying we need to or even though we haven't added that to our taxes.

We appreciate your experience and we are working on it. Some Kentucky TurboTax customers may be experiencing an error when trying to e-file their return.  The error says, "Not Eligible for Electronic Filing" when no dependent care providers are listed on the return.

917283 is my token number and my file has been sent for diagnosis.  I get the above error message and it makes no sense to me.  Please advise as to how I can correct it.

This issue may have been resolved at one point but it has returned.   I am getting the same message indicating that I can't file my KY taxes because I have not entered a "SSN or EIN for each dependent care provider".  I do not have a dependent care provider.   Please help!!!!!

Update:   I had to manually check for updates and once applied I no longer get the message.

Mine works now too........I also had to manually request a software update and once I did, I no longer experienced the problem.
