So I bought 2019 Premiere last year and installed it on a Windows 7 computer. I finally got annoyed enough with the "upgrade the computer to Windows 10" message, which by the way the computer could not support Windows 10, that I decided to install it on a Windows 10 computer that I just got. So first of all when I entered the 14 digit code I got with the CD, I got the message that it was no good.... Fortunately I remember I got the same message last year when I installed it on the Windows 7 computer and I had to contact Intuit to get a working number. I was FINALLY able to get someone to contact me with a new 14 digit number last JULY. Fortunately I remembered that I had the email with the replacement code. So now I entered the emailed 14 digit code. So now I try to open the 2019 tax return file I created on the Windows 7 computer last July, that I spent about 20 hours creating and it will not open. DO YOU KNOW WHY? Because I had two states, NJ for free, and SC that I paid almost 50 dollars for on the Windows 7 computer. It wants me to buy SC again. Why can I not open the return without buying SC again and look at the FED and NJ part of the return? What is wrong with this picture? The email from July has the Do Not Reply in the heading. This needs to be fixed so people can move the program to another computer with a newer OS. I have been using Turbo Tax since 1989, over 30 years, and this is the worst customer experience ever with this program. And if you do not believe me I still have all the floppy disks from those early Turbo Tax programs. My wife is no longer stationed at Fort Jackson, SC so we will not be needing it for 2020 but I want to open my 2019 file I created without having to spend HOURS reentering all the data for Federal and NJ. I want to get this done before I install the Premier 2020 program that already bought several weeks ago. Thank you.
