What is the link to register for stimulus if you did not file taxes?
I'm currently on furlough from my restaurant job due to covid, still not approved for unemployment. I really need the stimulus check. I filed my own 2019 taxes but was also claimed as someone's dependent. I'm confused if I will get one or not. Calculater says yes but dependent question says no
One more question. My taxes usually get taken due to student loans. Did I read a previous answer right saying that your refund won't be taken this year due to covid?
Does the IRS have my 2019 taxes on file, even if I owe money? And second, I did not claim a dependent on my 2019 taxes, yet I did so in 2018; the question is, will that prevent her from receiving a stimulus check, even if i didn't claim her on my 2019 taxes? Please help me with these questions. Thank you
Yes, if you filed successfully they have your return on file.
As to the dependent ... did they file their own return ? Were they a qualifying dependent ? If so why did you not claim them ?
However, if you are not a dependent in 2020 you may get all or part of the stimulus credit on the 2020 return.
Initially I wasn't going to file because I made a tad over 2500 in 2019. My mother in law claims me and my children as dependents on their tax returns because she supported us quite a bit in 2019. When the stimulus money came about I went ahead and filed my own in hopes that'd get it. Apparently I won't at least this year.
Will I still receive a stimulus check if my return is still processing
What if I didn’t have anything to file for 2019? Will they be able to use 2018’s tax return?

If you are not filing a 2019 tax return and you are not required to file a tax return and you do not receive Social Security benefits, then use this TurboTax website to register for the stimulus - https://turbotax.intuit.com/stimulus-check/
So, I went to the link provided, it says that if someone claimed me as a dependent I don't qualify. Would I still be receiving my stimulus based off of my 2018 tax return? My thing is its new and I am now living on my own as of the start of the year. I worked all through 2017 and filed 2018, but due to medical had to live with my parents for that year of 2019 so they were able to claim me. Now that they no longer can claim me on their 2020 return and I will be filing my own return in 2020, does this still mean I am up the creek without a paddle because of 2019? Im just looking for answers because at the end of the month if this stimulus check doesnt come im going to upside down on the lease I just signed last month. Perfect time to move out, huh?

If you have already filed your 2019 return, you won't get a stimulus check FOR NOW because you were a dependent in 2019. However:
Is my stimulus payment going to be direct deposited onto my "turbo card" like my tax refund was? If not how can I change it to my personal banking information? Or what am I suppose to do?
