My taxes are both standard deduction, no itemizations. Why did I have to buy Turbo Tax Deluxe to finish them this year?

They are really simple with nothing but pension and 401K retirement income. I did have over $2000 in interest income this year which is more than last by quite a bit, but that is the only difference. Why was I forced to buy Deluxe to finish?>

Since your interest income was $1,500 or more Schedule B was required to be included with your tax return. The TurboTax Free online edition does not support Schedule B so you needed to upgrade to the Deluxe online edition.
