My return does not autosave - I am on a Mac

Are you using the CD/download?   You need to make a point of saving it yourself each time you get ready to exit the program.    If you use online it autosaves.

Auto save on a Mac is a builtin Mac OS feature and can be somewhat disabled by checking  System Preferences -> General -> Ask to keep changes.

 

Be sure that is not checked.

Thank you for that; that box was not checked. I usually save the return on a thumb drive and it is telling me that I do not have permission to save there (I do) and because it will not autosave, it will not let me e-file....aaarggghh!

It is also not letting me save the return in my Documents folder....

I have the same problem! Taxes are hard enough without the problem of the program messing up so back on saving. I can save my file to the flash drive but any updates it refuses to give me access. 

 

This is my last year I'll use Turbo Tax.
