Missing 2021 Form 1116

As of 4pm est 3/3 the TurboTax web site for the CD/download Windows version is still not available 

It says the online version 1116 without B is available 

TT has 3 different forms availability lists

Online

CD/download for Windows 

CD/download for MAC

And they are all different

Well, I re-ran the interview, and it placed the 1116 Comp Wks under my Schedule E worksheet, and still didn't create a 1116 form.

Definitely not getting a warm and fuzzy feeling about any of this.

I have the CD version of TurboTax and was able to file my taxes without any errors. 

Note:

• Just to be safe, I ran through the major interview sections on Federal and State to make sure the program applied its logic.
• I think intuit has updated the form 1116 logic, and it does not appear that I need to attach a form 1116 to my return.  When you look at the forms view, it no longer has that weird red font on form 1116.  It shows a form 1116 and specifically says at the top "no need to file".  
• Mine was a simple "I just need the tax credit for foreign taxes paid".  The tax credit is shown on the Federal form.  I did not have any carryover.

@Mr MaGoo - If you meet the simple criteria and your amount was under $300 (or $600 MFJ), you don't need 1116. My amount was slightly over the amount threshold, so I did need 1116.

Sounds right.  My foreign tax credit amount was less than $300.

I have checked for update, and it says I am up to date, and no tax form update at this time.

I have the premier desktop version for Mac.

Form 1116 is available today for the schedules applicable to me and I was able to file. Glad I waited.

@SeattleGuyGal , what version of TT are you using?
I am using TT online and it still have issues with form 1116.

I'm using the CD version for Windows.  The program updated today when I went in and when I opened the return the credit was applied and the return had finished automatically; no errors.  My credit was less than $400-odd (we are MFJ). Shouldn't have had to wait for weeks to get it done. 

Now to get off this string of messages--it's filling up my mailbox.

Why is schedule B on 1116 not available? The information is in the worksheet.

Agree with your comments. Years ago, when they appeared to value customers, the service was so much better. Now, there are so many traps for the unwary that aren't properly communicated, like software updates.  They are neglecting their cash cow!

Finally yes. First I took the foreign tax off as a credit and had it as a (useless) itemized deduction, then I went back and had the foreign tax paid as a credit and lo and behold the form was generated and was able to be e-filed.  Now I just need to do the same for my elderly mom's return. What a pain. Other than this missing/delayed form, our taxes would have been done and filed more than a couple of weeks ago.

That is the same TT we use. Premier download for Mac.  The form was not available to me until about 2 pm CT 3/3. Definitely was not available - even after applying all updates- at noon. Thank goodness it finally appeared to generate. Definitely not the experience I have been used to with TT.

Even if it is under $300, TT marks that as an error, tells you you are missing Form 1116 and won't let you file. 

Mine was under $300, finally got  form 1116 to generate late this afternoon, and successfully e-filed.  You are correct, the form generates, but is NOT filed when it is this small of an amount.  It prints for your records, but clearly says do not file.
