Finally yes. First I took the foreign tax off as a credit and had it as a (useless) itemized deduction, then I went back and had the foreign tax paid as a credit and lo and behold the form was generated and was able to be e-filed. Now I just need to do the same for my elderly mom's return. What a pain. Other than this missing/delayed form, our taxes would have been done and filed more than a couple of weeks ago.
