I have the CD version of TurboTax and was able to file my taxes without any errors.
Note:
- Just to be safe, I ran through the major interview sections on Federal and State to make sure the program applied its logic.
- I think intuit has updated the form 1116 logic, and it does not appear that I need to attach a form 1116 to my return. When you look at the forms view, it no longer has that weird red font on form 1116. It shows a form 1116 and specifically says at the top "no need to file".
- Mine was a simple "I just need the tax credit for foreign taxes paid". The tax credit is shown on the Federal form. I did not have any carryover.
