How can I see my TurboTax fees?
https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/2565973-how-do-i-review-my-fees-in-turbotax-online
Did you choose to have TT fees deducted from your Federal refund? (Remember that if you did that, you also agreed to an extra refund processing fee of $39.99)
WHY DO I HAVE TO PAY? I WANT THE FREE EDITION
The information that you can enter in Free Edition is pretty limited now. Thanks to the new tax laws that began for 2018 returns, there are no more simple Form 1040EZ or 1040A's. Everything goes on a Form 1040 that has three extra "schedules" with it, and if you need any of those schedules, you are not able to use the Free Edition. Using the standard deduction instead of itemizing does NOT mean you will not need any of those schedules.https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/4511011-what-happened-to-the-1040a-and-1040ez If you started in the Free Edition and entered any data that required any of those three schedules, you have to upgrade to a paid version and if you are watching the screens carefully you are alerted to the upgrade.
When you chose to “start” in the Free Edition —
Directly below the words “Free Edition” there is a blue link that says “For simple tax returns only” If you click that link it brings up this information:
You can file with TurboTax Free Edition if you have a simple tax return.*
*A simple tax return is Form 1040 only.

Thank you for your response, however to suggest that though you may be technically correct belies
the point that your system implies that the process will be free then not only is one charged once $39.00 but then some sort of a processing charge another $39.00 your system is a deliberate trap! misleading,
and a fraud !
The proof is that you offer no recourse after filing, WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES THAT MAKE ?
That's your policy ? well, my policy is to call out your practices and tell everyone I know about your behavior.
You should be embarrassed to work for a company that operates in this manner.
I hope you are treated the same way someday!
Thank you for your latest information about the FREE IRS site.
I will try to never use YOUR service again!
still waiting for a good answer !
still no good answers
If you read the product information you’d know that the free edition is limited to W2, student loan deduction and a small amount of interest. Anything else requires an upgrade.
This forum is a group of volunteers who Don’t work for TurboTax simply use the product like you do
Volunteers should understand if they are running cover inadvertently for a company that is not engaging in good faith. Quoting rules is no excuse for misleading people. I hope it happens to you sometime.
I'll say, Oh well!, the rules of life say buyer beware of someone trying to take advantage of you.
You run constant commercials claiming FREE FREE FREE FREE FREE FREE !!!!!
then your excuse is the law changed. that's why it's no longer FREE ?
That's garbage and you know it. or you'd say it in the commercial that makes you a fraud !
