When I try to import from Charles Swab it says the documents won't be ready to import until Feb 14 for all 1099 forms.
Although you might be able to view or print your information from the website, most banks, brokerages and other financial institutions do not have the data formatted for import into tax software before sometime in February. So if you are wanting to enter it sooner, you have to key it in by hand. Or….wait until it is available for import.
If you want to enter it manually, click the option that says “I’ll type it in myself”
It shows that i have a consolidated document and i have opened it to look at.
It looks like this: TAX YEAR 2024
FORM 1099 COMPOSITE
& YEAR-END SUMMARY
I will wait till later in February and try again
if you can open it and read it it's a PDF not the special file needed for import which is unreadable. PDFs are usually available much sooner like a 1/2 to a full month before the import file is ready. you can not import from the PDFs.

Thanks for your reply. My assumption was that if the PDF was available, the file that turbotax was using is also available. It was not obvious on Schwab if this data was ready. I am sure what you are saying is true and it is not ready yet.
I did not see this from my vantage point. I am sure this is my issue. I just get some odd message at turbotax.
Thanks for sharing
FYI, When i tried to import today, instead of some innocuous error message, I got something more informative about they will be available on Feb14. Your reply nailed my issue. I wasted a lot of time on Schwab's and Turbotax's websites trying to figure out what was wrong. Thanks!!!
Charles Schwab is the only financial instituion where I'm having trouble importing. I get an error window that says:
We found duplicate installations of TurboTax 2024
I only have one copy installed with all updates. Called Intuit twice and they could not help me.
Check your Task Manager to see if you have two instances of TurboTax running. If so, close both and re-open TurboTax.
I got the following and it didn't do anything or go anywhere after I had complete Charles Schwab sign-in and linked the account today. I tried multiple times with different browsers still not working.
You can ask the financial institution if you'll get this form, and return to import it when it's available.
If you already have the info, you can enter it by hand. (902)
Exactly the same result for me as @sky fly has reported above.
Schwab notified me 1099 download was available about 2 weeks ago. They posted the PDF version today. So, the forms are "ready" for download at Schwab.
Have tried multiple browsers with same result: Browser opens, sign-in to Schwab succeeds, I fill out authorizations and submit. Get an immediate email confirmation from Schwab that authorized access succeeded for Intuit. Then it briefly displays a window saying it is connecting, then it quits and displays this.

I just received a new message in Charles Schwab now (dated 2/26/2025) :
"Your original tax forms for 2024 will be available online by February 28, 2025. You’ll also be able to import your data into tax software at that time. Questions? Visit our Tax Center."
I guess maybe that's the reason why we're not able to import the data now even though we saw the file was already there.
if you can open it its the PDF version, not the version needed for import.
