Now this will make me switch back to H&R Block with DeductionPro.
Whatever works for you.
I just do not understand the convenience of the product when users do not have the ability to enter donations as they are made and there is no import function.
In other words, users have to enter all of their donations for the year during tax season (essentially all at once). It seems as if the only advantage is that the product handles the valuation of the items donated, but it has already been mentioned that the IRS does not readily accept those valuations in all instances.
Say it ain't so! I assume Intuit tried advertising to increase the user base and it didn't move the needle. Will Intuit consider continuing TurboTax ItsDeductible Donation Valuation Tool by charging for the product? I would be willing to pay a modest annual fee for Intuit to maintain this tool and keep it integrated with TurboTax.

I have zero insight, but I would tend to think it would be highly doubtful. As has been mentioned in this, and other, threads, the IRS did not accept the valuations in certain instances.
It USED to be a separate product that we paid for. This is going to cause us so much extra work. Apparently H&R Block has a product --- IF they don't reinstate this, I will probably use H&R Block going forward. Disappointing. I have been a customer of theirs since they started.
Mint appears to only track money so not helpful for the bulk of non money items i donate. I am bummed its deductible is discontinued. I used it for all the cloths, shoes, and bags i gave to reacue missions, in addition to money given to charities.
Thank you. I have a inventory record of all the items i donated but used itsdeductible for pricing for convenience. Not sure i want to go to thrift stores to see what they are marking. Urg!

Other solutions have been posted in this thread for that purpose.
I agree. And why would they pick an October date on which to discontinue the tool? Why could Intuit not let us finish out the 2022 tax year? And why, on 6/20/22, can't I add any donated items? There are still roughly four months until the stated discontinuation date. Poor customer service to those of us who have been loyal TurboTax users for many, many years.
I quit signing up as soon as I saw all the personal information it asked for. Shame, Intuit!
And even though it is obviously not October yet, today (6/20/22) I could not add any donated items or any other category of donation. What a slap in the face!
It won't even allow any new entries, and it is only June 20th. They are misleading us in saying October is the drop-dead date. For many years, I was a volunteer Beta tester, and now I feel I am being dissed by the company. Does anyone suggest a good replacement tax spftware that can input from last year's TT?
Yes, please suggest something. When I google for one, all I find are software programs for charitable entities to keep track of their donors, not for the rank-and-file donors themselves.
ItsDeductible is disabled for new 2022 entries and, according to others here, may even prevent download of summaries for 2022 entries that were already made. That's a huge pain for users who have taken advantage of one ItsDeductible feature that's better than H&R Block's DeductionPro, allowing entry of donations as they occur, but then finding that 5 months of entries were a waste of time.
The October discontinuation date is very likely tied to the tax extension filing deadline and was a "service" to existing users, allowing them to import 2021 data into TurboTax if filing up to the extension deadline.

You can also shoot them an email.
Oy, you think by now I should have known better, given how long I've been using Intuit's products.
I relied on PocketQuicken for years, back when Palm was a thing, until Intuit dropped that and had no mobile solution at all for years
I relied on Quicken Home Inventory for years, until that was dropped
I relied on Quicken Medical Expense Manager for years, until that was dropped
I guess I should be thankful they spun off a new company to take over Quicken, rather than just dropping that one too?
