Is TT New York State 2022 Available Yet (as of 11/20/2022)?

Turbo Tax Deluxe w/State 2022 download, Windows 11

I installed the program a few days ago. It said the NYS portion would not be available until 11/17. On that day, I went to download and install. I went through the entire process, it said the install was successful, but when I go to use it, it goes through the download/installation process again (and again, and again). I contacted support which instructed me to uninstall/reinstall TT, which I did, with the same result. They then sent me a link to a TT NYS 2022 installer, but when it installed it said it was the 2021 version. In any case, it didn't work. They finally told me that the NYS program wasn't available yet. Can anyone confirm if that's really the case? If yes, is there any way to find out when it will be released?

The New York download for 2022 is currently expected to be available January 12. However, not all of the forms will be available at that time. Many of the New York forms will not be available until January 26. These dates are subject to change.

The way to find out when state forms will be available is to check the state forms availability table. (The first page at that link says 2021, but when you click one of the links you will get the 2022 availability dates.)

I'm having the same issue - the program has NYS as being downloaded but that's not the case.  Installer didn't have a message like normal that the download would be available at a future date.

Wow, if true (Jan 12) that would be incredibly late vs prior years. I've been using TT almost 20 years and have almost always been able to complete Fed and NYS year end projections by mid Dec. I've usually purchased TT late November (as I have this year), and have always been able to load NYS as part of the initial install. I know many of the NYS forms come out later on a rolling basis, but the program itself was always available in Nov.

Curious as to why they said it would be available by Nov 17th if will be coming out so much later. At the very least, there should be an updated alert message saying it's not yet available.

@jeffecohen - suggestion: set up a dummy tax return in your 2021 version of desktop TT.... unless there were material changes in NYS, it'll be 'close enough'

for the federal return, line 16 should be 'close enough' (and overstated by 2-3%), once you get beyond Line 16, be careful as many of the tax credits expired between 2021 and 2022  (be sure Lines 28 and 30 are blank of you take this approach)

Issue solved - NYS program was pushed in a TT update on 11/22.
