@Flocke77 Have you tried clearing history/cookies in the main browser you use? That worked for me and some others.

As stated many times in this strand, there are so many options to attempt to fix the problem without contacting TT or Schwab.  1.  Clear cookies and browser history.  2.  Update TT software if available.  3.  Verify through Schwab security settings if you have checked ALLOW 3rd party access.  4.  While using TT, you might have to scroll to different screens to find the ALLOW ACCESS TO 3rd PARTY SITES.  It's NOT intuitive (pun intended Intuit) so you will have to search around a bit to find the 3rd party access window in TT.  This is new this year and is probably related to more privacy and security requirements to protect your data.  Annoying?  YES, but worth the aggravation to secure your data.  There are at least 4 pages of suggestions on this strand so please read them all for ideas and suggestions.  Good luck everybody.

@calidianne I tried them all as well and out of desperation decided to go into my Schwab account and changed the "ALLOW 3rd party access" to "DO NOT ALLOW 3rd party access" just to see if I could get a different pop-up from within TT. Sure enough - it actually worked. A new pop-up appeared after I entered my Schwab username and password asking me if I "wanted to allow 3rd party access?" I said yes - and it linked-up. Go figure! Why there is so much BS in all of this I have no idea nor does TT.

Happy that this worked for you.  I tried it and didn't work for me.  I finally got to talk to a "human" that sounded like they were knowledgeable.  They said fix should be ready 1st week or so in March.  Don't hold your breath.

It's a bug in TT, plain and simple. They should have done the integration testing with Schwab and make sure their software works without the customers having to read any of this at all. I find it stunning that TT still has no fix for the problem after so many days and spin their paying customers in loops. We all deserve a refund for spending so much extra time.

I also can not load the Schwab 1099 info. The load works fine with Fidelity. I can't get to the dialogue box that asks for user name and password.

If you have TurboTax Online, you can clear your cache and delete cookies. Also, try refreshing your browser and even try using a different browser.

The problem is with the download version. It can't connect/download from schwab no matter what you do. Update, change password, etc etc nothing works. Please fix it.

Having problem downloading 1099's from my brokerage firms.  Just sits there and spins..  I went back to my 2020 TT and the download worked fine so there is a bug in the 2021 download version. When is TT planning on fixing this? From the thread it appears a lot of people have the same issue but different brokers.

I too am having issues trying to import from Charles Schwab.

I have accounts at Vanguard and Fidelity and they imported without a problem.

Charles Schwab says this is an Intuit problem.  

I have a ton of info to input if I have to do this manually.  I buy and use TurboTax so I do not have to manually enter my info.  

Intuit has sadly gone way down as far as their customer service and well, their products in general.  Was talking to a representative not long ago about how much better Microsoft Money was.  I am forced to use what we call, "Sicken" and yes, working in Quicken makes me so frustrated and sick.  Now TurboTax too.

Please try the following steps to see if this will allow you to upload your 1099.  First, try the information in this Help Article for how to import a 1099.  

 

If those steps do not work, try this Help Article on how to fix a 1099 import.  

 

One workaround is attempting to upload the form under the different Schwab accounts listed in the drop-down when attempting to upload 1099. 

 

Once you have tried each of those, another workaround is to go to the Schwab website, change your Schwab online password, then log back into Fidelity to review the 1099s that are available.  Exit Turbotax, log back into Turbotax, and retry the process.
