I'm in college, and my parents don't want me to get a job because they want me to focus all my attention on my studies. I've been driving for Uber Eats, and they don't know about it. When I file my taxes and specify that "someone else can claim me as a dependent", will it tell anything about my income to my parents?

Do you make enough for filing to be necessary? And your income is tied to your SSN. Even if your parents claim you as a dependent, that doesn't grant them admin access to your SSN and personal tax returns. You just can't claim yourself. This link has some more information regarding the matter:

To anyone reading this: if I have misspoke, please correct me.
Saying someone else can claim you simply tells the program whether or not you are eligible for certain deductions or credits, it has absolutely no connection to anyone else's tax return.
