Who asked if you wanted a stimulus check?  Turbo Tax doesn't ask that.  And nobody is asking that.  The IRS will automatically send it to you.

Watch out for scams.  Nobody is "asking" that --- and certainly not on TurboTax.  When and where were you asked?

Whoever asked you that question is a con-artist or foreign scammer.  This is common knowledge (or should be) and I'll share with you because you have missed the last decade of information on how to avoid being scammed by telemarketers and email fraud 😉

  1. Do NOT EVER give ANYONE who calls YOU any personal information.
  2. Only give information to someone YOU call... and of course make sure the place you are calling is NOT a criminal enterprise.
  3. NEVER click on ANY link from anyone in any email.  Even if you know them.  Create a shared folder on OneDrive, DropBox, Evernote and give them the link so they can upload the file there.  Then SCAN it for VIRUSES before you open it to be extra safe (though these places will scan files automatically).
  4. In emails with links, always HOVER over the link and look at the bottom of your window in the information panel to see where the link actually goes.  NEVER click a link if it doesn't match the link displayed... or is not obviously from a legitimate company.

THere are many other resources out there.  You need to start reading and learn to protect yourself.... otherwise, you will be taken for lots of money.  It only takes ONCE to lose your money.
