Then find yourself an attorney because complaining on a public internet forum will get you nowhere.
TT is a DIY program that most find easy to use. So if you are having a specific problem if you could describe it a bit better someone in the forum may be able to assist you otherwise call TT support on monday for one on one assistance.
Submit your question/problem during business hours and then use the option for Call (a phone number will be provided for Call) to speak directly with a TurboTax agent –
Because of your threat/wording of your post, I seriously doubt a TurboTax employee will respond since they can not speak on behalf of the company they work for as a representative of that company on legal matters and/or legal threats. I can only suggest you seek legal advice with a local attorney and go from there.
I was expecting them to reply I would have been thinking cuz they ripped me off $5,000 and then left me with the bag $2,500 for the IRS and trying to charge me the fee still without any assistance or any tax return file an amendment and nothing has ever come of it and nobody's ever answered me in a question about it last year they shorted me $800 and never posted the correct amount on the site so I really don't give a [removed] if I get a response or not I just want them to know that they're [removed] crooked
@jonathan38 - okay, so let's get beyond the emotion and see if we can help you out to determine what happened.
Almost every single person posting on these boards complaining their refund was much lower than anticipated comes back to how the questions related to the 3rd stimulus (received March - May, 2021) or the advance child tax credit (payments received monthly from July to December) were answered.
Can you please post what is on Line 28 and Line 30 from your Form 1040?
What was the refund you were expecting and what did you receive (please be exact)
again, let's leave the emotion to the side and get to the root cause of what occured; I think we can do that together and help you enjoy the rest of your weekend.
you enter numbers and answer questions in Turbotax. based on those Turbotax calculates a refund or balance due. then you file. the IRS gets the return and if they find that their computer records do not match what you reported they change your return. Turbotax is not notified so if it showed a $500 refund that's what it will always show though the IRS might change it to a $5,0000 balance due. Normally you should expect a letter/notice in 2 to 4 weeks explaining the changes and how to respond if you disagree. Perhaps they got lost in the mail. By now your transcript for 2020 and maybe even 2021 should be posted so you can go to the IRS website and review your tax return transcript. it will show what you reported and what the IRS computers calculated as correct.

I think this is the best form to complain about these issues so other people's ideas and everybody else can see. We're not alone during the struggle and uncertainty of the direction of humanity and how are financial institutions are treating us like a second-rate citizens slaves to the system which we are so if you want to get your voice hard this is where you do it sir plus I like talking**bleep** to the people that read these and don't say nothing
We do not know what amounts you think were incorrect or what "false advertisement" you are alleging. We cannot see your account or your tax return. We do know, however, that a LOT of people made big mistakes on their 2020 and 2021 tax returns. People have become very confused by the stimulus checks they received and the recovery rebate credit, and by the child tax credit. In many instances, that confusion has led to incorrect information being entered by people on their returns and by the IRS having to correct their mistakes and reduce their refunds.
You should start by looking at your tax return to see what amounts you have on lines 28 and 30. Those are the lines that are giving many people lots of trouble.
TurboTax does not get any information from the IRS after you file your tax return, so no one at TT knows why your refund was less.
You have not mentioned any specific amounts. Sometimes we can make an educated guess as to the reason for your reduced refund if you mention specific amounts--for example if your refund was short by $1400 per person---it is likely to be a mix up regarding the 3rd EIP payment. If you received the 3rd stimulus check of $1400 per person in 2021 then you got letter 6475 from the IRS about it. You needed to enter the amount you received. If you already received that money then line 30 on your Form 1040 should have been blank.
If it is short by $1800 or $1500 or a multiple of that amount --- maybe a mixup regarding the advance child tax credit payments. If you received monthly child tax credit payments of $250 or $300 per month between July and December of 2021, then you got letter 6419 from the IRS, and you were required to enter the amount of the advance payments. Only the remaining amount of the CTC should have been on line 28 of your Form 1040.
The IRS knows how much they sent to you for the 3rd stimulus check and they know how much they sent for advance child tax credit payments. If you answered something incorrectly on your tax return then the IRS made a correction that resulted in a reduced refund for you.
Or---the fees you were supposed to pay for using TurboTax + the "refund processing fee" charged by the third party bank….
Did you choose to have TT fees deducted from your Federal refund? (Remember that if you did that, you also agreed to an extra refund processing fee of $39.99 or $44.99 in CA)

What is Refund Processing Service?
The IRS will send you a letter that explains why your refund was reduced. Meanwhile it might help you to check your online IRS account.
