I received an unusual sum from "TAX PRODUCTS PE4 SBTPG LLC 20190220" I've never had this happen before. It's always the exact amount on my return. What is this from?

@biglou4601 -

1) what was the EXACT difference between what your refund was and what you received?

2) what is on Line 28 of Form 1040?

3) what is on Line 30 of Form 1040?

there are many returns that are being adjusted by the IRS due to errors the taxpayer made related to the CHild Tax Credit (line 28) and the Recovery Rebate Credit / stimulus (Line 30)

The IRS will be mailing you a letter re the adjustment and/or offset that it made.  It does not notify TT or SBTPG.

I do not remember filing my taxes though TurboTax this year, I thought that I filed through e-file. I  received a deposit in my checking account this morning for $282.06 and I'm not sure why. Please let me know about this deposit asap at [email address removed]. Thank you.

Since you opted to pay for the filing service with your refund, efile.com  have partnered up with Santa Barbara Bank and Trust (SBTPG)  to process the refund, take out their fee for the service, and issue you a deposit for the remainder. Please refer to this link from efile.com for more details.
